Grace & Peace!

Who else is overjoyed that spring is finally here? All of the things are in bloom everywhere and it is all so beautiful. The downside is the dangerous weather, like what hit Springfield and the surrounding area this week. I am definitely holding those of you in prayer who have had damage to your homes and property.

On a much brighter note, if you haven’t already heard the news, that’s a wonderful change afoot at Grace. On July 1, 2025, my pastoral appointment will change from part-time at Grace and Pitts Chapel to FULL-TIME at Grace!

I want to congratulate Grace Church because this is due to all the ministry and hard work we have been doing together over the last 2 years. I applaud you, the congregation. Grace has not had a full-time Lead Pastor for many years. While I am overjoyed about this change for me personally, I m all the more excited for Grace!  Thank you to those who have found their niche and serve so faithfully! Thank you to those long-time members who do all the background work that keeps the place running smoothly! Thank you to every new person who saw something in Grace and decided to make this your new church home!

As I think about our church, our community at large, and our nation, I truly believe we are at a moment when we should pay close attention to the words Mordecai said to Esther in Esther 4:14: “And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

I truly believe each of us who finds ourselves calling Grace home in this current season, should hear these words spoken to us… Who knows but we are each called here to do what we can do for in this community for such a time as this! So… as we celebrate what God has been doing and anticipate what God has in store, let’s commit to work together and bring our gifts TOGETHER to be used for the glory of God!

And remember… TOGETHER WE THRIVE IN 2025!
